Suzy Barnett

Ranch Manager

Suzy Barnett - Ranch Manager The backbone of the ranch, Suzy Barnett is the woman who makes it all happen. She has been the ranch manager for the past 6 years and handles all the breeding and show enquiries, as well as overseeing the ranch operations.

Having grown up around horses and cattle, Suzy has always had a love of horsemanship and showed for 40 years as an all round competitor in western and english classes at local AQHA shows.

Her proudest accomplishments have been raising six daughters, who kept her busy on her cattle ranch in Panola County as well as being a volunteer 4H leader and secretary/treasurer for county and district livestock associations.

With her welcoming smile and laid back manner, Suzy will make you feel right at home.

Bill Miller

Resident Trainer

Bill oversees the entire Ranch One training program.  He starts the two year olds that we raise here on the ranch.  He trains the majority of our three year olds with regional and national futurities in mind.  Bill is also responsible for “tuning up” and showing the LAE & older show horses. He can be contacted about available Ranch One horses for sale.  He is the son of judge Kevin Miller.

Kerri Carriere

Residental Loper/Certified Equine Dentist

Kerri comes to us from Morely, MI.  She has been a great asset to us, not only does she help Bill work the horses on a daily bases,  Kerri is also a Certified Equine Dentist.  If you need her assistance in the Dental area give her a call 616-835-0177.   

Tommy Florence

Weanlings / Yearlings

Tommy puts in the all important first works with weanlings and yearlings laying the groundwork for future rides.  He also helps with conditioning older horses.  Tommy is in charge of  equipment maintenance.

Gretchen Tumelson

Breeding Manager

Ranch One is very fortunate to have Gretchen as Breeding Manager.  Gretchen handles all aspects of the breeding program, from foaling to seman collection/shipments, to in-house embryo transfer.
